In Phase 2 after the Circuit Breaker, more tourism establishments and entertainment facilities would gradually reopen.
Attractions – open from 1 July
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has announced that tourism businesses will gradually be reopened starting with 13 attractions from 1 July 2020. However, there must be safe management measures in place and most attractions would be restricted to no more than 25% of their operating capacity at any one time.
Attractions that have reopened (updated as of 4 July 2020):
*Flower Dome will open to Friends of the Gardens members on 1 July and the public from 11 July.
**Access to the casinos will be limited to existing casino members and annual levy holders only.
Staycations are possible
For those looking for a staycation, STB has announced that it would review hotel applications to reopen accommodation and guest services for the purposes of leisure (e.g. staycations) in Phase 2.
As of 19 June 2020, hotels have already been allowed to operate dine-in services for F&B establishments, gyms and pools, spas, marriage solemnisations, classes organised by permitted enterprises providing education services, and gatherings of 5 and fewer persons.
Cinemas – open from 13 July
The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) has announced that cinemas will be allowed to reopen from 13 July 2020. Safe management measures are required for reopening, including the reconfiguration of seating arrangements to ensure safe distancing of at least 1 metre between patrons. A maximum of up to 5 persons (friends and family) will be allowed to sit together and each theatre hall will have a maximum capacity of 50 patrons.
