The Merdeka Generation Package is for Singaporeans born from 1 January 1950 to 31 December 1959, and who became a Singapore Citizen on or before 31 December 1996. The package is also given to seniors who do not receive the Pioneer Generation Package, but were born on or before 31 December 1949, and became a Singapore Citizen on or before 31 December 1996.

* In order to receive subsidies for Public SOC visits, you will first need to be assessed and referred by a CHAS clinic or polyclinic. The doctor will refer you to a Public SOC as a subsidised patient if needed.

*If your MediShield Life policy is due for renewal between 1 July 2019 and 31 October 2019, you will receive the Merdeka Generation premium subsidy as a refund by 31 December 2019.
