Heng Swee Keat to deliver 2019 Budget statement on Feb 18

The on-going Budget feedback exercise will conclude on 11 Jan.

Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat will deliver the 2019 Budget statement in Parliament on Feb 18.

The Ministry of Finance (MOF) said in a press release on Tuesday (Jan 1) that there will be live television and radio coverage of the statement and a live webcast will be available on the Singapore Budget website.

The full statement will be uploaded on the website after it has been delivered.

Real-time updates of key announcements from the Budget Statement will be posted on the MOF’s Facebook page and Twitter account.

The on-going Budget feedback exercise which began on Dec 3, 2018, will conclude on Jan 11, said the ministry.

Singaporeans have been providing their views during this exercise via the different platforms. These include Reach’s Budget 2019 microsite and email, and in person at events such as Reach’s Listening Points, which are open booths set up for the public to provide their feedback.

Two more Listening Points will be held this month at Ngee Ann Polytechnic on Jan 8, and Singapore Management University’s Li Ka Shing Library on Jan 10.

Singaporeans can also send in their recommendations via the Singapore Budget website, Reach’s Budget microsite and the Reach Singapore Facebook page.

They can also provide feedback through Reach Singapore’s Twitter account @REACH_Singapore using the hashtag #SGBudget2019 or email Reach at reach@reach.gov.sg.
