QuitVape Programme - How to Get Help
Users of e-vaporisers and etomidate e-vaporisers who voluntarily seek help will not face any penalties for doing so. However, if the individual is separately caught for vaping, penalties under the various laws will be meted out and they will have an offence record.
If you need help to quit vaping, call the Health Promotion Board's QuitLine at 1800 438 2000.
The programme consists of an intervention phase for 28 days, coupled with relapse management follow-ups. There are three pathways to suit your lifestyle needs:
Daily SMS nudges,
Tele-counselling
Face-to-face counselling at selected pharmacies
If you need help to quit the use of etomidate vapes, you can approach any of the agencies listed in the table below.
They offer a standardised rehabilitation programme of 4 individual counselling sessions, coupled with 2 group counselling sessions. The programme will cover:
Assessment of motivation and barriers to treatment
Setting of goals and treatment plan for rehabilitation
Information on addictions, vaping, kpods and other illicit substances
Identification of triggers, cravings, high risk situations and cognitive distortions
Individualised relapse prevention plan
Exploration of coping strategies, emotional regulation, management of peer pressure
Building of support network and rebuilding relationships

Avenues for Help for Uniformed Services Personnel
SAF service personnel may approach their Commanders and Medical Officers for assistance or call the SAF Counselling Hotline (24 Hour): 1800 278 0022.
Home Team Regulars and NSFs who wish to seek help for vaping cessation may seek professional help at Home Team medical centres and clinics. Service Personnel who wish to receive cessation support will be given the tools, counselling and support necessary to recover.
